Covid and the Kingdom of God
As I write the polls have closed on election day and with millions of Aussies voting the result will almost certainly determine… nothing of any real importance. In terms of how it is impacted all of us, Australia's over-arching issue is that for two years our major parties have adopted extreme measures to “keep us safe” from Covid and these have manifestly done immense harm. The measures haven’t saved us, we need saving from them. I won’t argue that case any further. Having exhaustively, even obsessively, done so for two years I have found it is fruitless if your aim is to change minds rather than just win arguments. However, there is a substantial number of Australians who think the same as I do. So, the Covid resistance minor parties might do well today and make some noise but it won’t matter very much.
